Does anyone have a source for Cabochon mirrors. This is the really
thin material put in back of some cab. to give them more life and
better color. The pieces I have seen look like plastic coated metal.
It’s flexible and water proof.
You might check with the Stained glass suppliers. They have front
surface mirrors at about 1/16Th inch or so thickness. You can cut it
with a regular glass cutter. After gluing to the back of your cab or
cab material you can then grind it to fit. It is used in the making
of kaleidoscopes.

Note From Ganoksin Staff:
Looking for a galss cutter tool for your jewelry projects? We recommend:
I have bought it - probably at the craft stores - it's also called
Milar
You get some mylar pretty much any time you buy a candy bar,
individually wrapped hard candy, protein bar, many chips, or a flat,
silver (as opposed to the classic round, colored) helium baloon. I
use bits from these sources.
