press, the number for 60 durometer 6 X 6 X 1/2" thick is110-344.

Oh, okay, I went there and see it’s down to the gallery and forums

Hello Jennifer,

Since 60 durometer urethane is typically used in form boxes only we
don’t carry it as a stock item, but I’m sure we can special order it
for you. Give us a call and tell the agent that you would like to
special order this. Make sure to include the thickness as well,
typically for form boxes its good to have two pieces at 1/2" each.

Hi Jennifer,

You might try MSC (mscdirect.com). They have urethane available in
many sizes & durometers. Depending on the thickness you need, you may
have to buy a larger sheet & cut it into 6 x 6 pieces. If you have
their hardcopy catalog, it’s listed on page 1800.1/4" x 12 x 12 is
item # 93026771, $35.76.

Yes, I tried Rio and when I spoke to the “techinical support” I was
told they did not carry that size. Thanks Phil for the catalog # I
will try that.

Do not make your own pads. The isocyanate resin that is used in the
polyurethane system is very toxic. If you remember the Union Carbide
plant in Bophal India that had the gas leak that killed so many
people, that was isocyanate vapor. It is not a problem once it is
mixed and cured but in its liquid or gas form it is bad news. If you
feel you must do your own then get and learn how to use a chemical
vapor respirator. It does not have a strong smell so you will not
know how effective a fit you have on your mask by the smell. Make
sure you have good ventilation so the stuff gets out of your work
space. Gloves and goggles are also a must. This stuff is not a
consumer product and is not packaged or labeled as one, they assume
you have read the MSDS and are aware of the safety precautions
required. I have a friend who has suffered long term serious medical
problems from over exposure to these vapors.

Rio Grande has or can get the pads for you or McMaster Carr has them
but they only stock 12" square and larger.

Try Ebay. They have some 12" x 12" urethane sheets for sale.
