I have a 8mm silver gents wedding band that needs 20 new triangle
onyx. Most have fallen out and the triangle shaped holes are 6x4x4mm
and 1.5mm deep. Do I need to spend the money on having an onyx
special cut for each hole or can these holes be filled with enamel?
Customer’s choice.
Unless the budget is open, enamel would be the practical way out. I
would suggest you undercut the cloissons so the enamel is more apt to
stay put.
Onyx would be the purist’s way, but the ring would probably lose
more stones. Costs a bunch more.
