Where can one find this type of finding
I’d like to know where I could find an alligator clip finding in
sterling suitable for making a tie clip. The only one I found so far
says it’s rhodium plated silver. Sounds like that could give
problems being soldered if it’s rhodium plated. Here is a link to

I was thinking of just making a simple tie bar without a spring but
being a newbie I was wondering how does one go about creating the
tension of the closed bar? I assume they work harden the bar and
press it closed in a jig?
