Experience with Custom Made

#1

Hello All

“Custom is the new “Brand””.

I now have a page on http://www.ganoksin.com/gnkurl/1c3. They have a
job board where customers can say what they would like and artisans
can say they are willing to make it and at what price. I have not
yet bid on a job but see some capable artisans consistently bidding
on and getting jobs. The organizers seem to be working very hard to
educate the customers and facilitate the exchange of information
between the client and the maker and help them develop trust in the
process. Does anyone have experience with Custom Made?

When i went to London in 1990 the craft guild provided this same
type of resource for guild members it was a library of sorts with
great repositories of slides and contact which when you
found an artisan whose work you liked that artisan could be
contacted them and made a deal for what you wanted.

Go figure here in the states now we have people trying to step on
artisans and their talent for profit…

These people don ot even have enough manners to be conceptually
correct in their presentation as in " start customizing now “. To ask
” Do you customize jewelry " ( lots of class too bad its all third )
when desiring to have a ring designed and built ! when one queries,
Do you customize ? it is implying that you would like to make changes
to an existing item ie. as in customizing the car you bought stock,
and now wish to make changes to the paint or wheels or add features
to make the car look different. - Goo

Thank you so much for posting about this site! I looked thru it and
I recognized some of the people posted. Particularly, a well know
jeweler looking for some specific rendering help. I’m going to use
this site to find some custom furniture makers.
