I don’t usually do this with Orchid because almost none of you are

Nice ad. There’s still the possibility of a second career now so
don’t miss your Actors Guild dues.
However I’d be careful about Blue Crosses insurance…they’re being
sued by the LA District Attorney now for dropping over 1,500
patients who, while fully paid up with Blue Cross, were dropped
because of developing issues. Including one 61 year-old woman after
receiving authorization and treatment for cancer.
What fun to see a fellow Orchider on the little video clip. I’ve
long appreciated your wise and informed comments. Now I can match
those to a face. Many of us could stand to do a bit of shameless self
promotion so thanks for that too.
No pay from Blue Cross on this. But I did get paid as a screen actor
for the day (didn’t know I would when I agreed to do the ads). And I
didn’t even have to join the union as they give you one shot without
having to join (good thing, too, because I doubt my days’ wages would
have paid for them).

Each state’s Blue Cross is run separately and is independent from
any other Blue Cross in the country. Here in MA this has never been a
problem, and our local one is currently in the forefront of trying to
make hospitals and doctors responsible for their own mistakes
(instead of just collecting from the insurance companies when they
make them). I didn’t say anything in the ads made that I don’t
believe fully in. Same way I run the rest of my business.
