'Worm Orobouros'

Do any Orchid folks have a figure of ‘the worm orobouros?’ (That is a
snake in a circle or figure 8 biting its own tail.)

I seem to remember seeing it in illustrations for an older edition
of the Tolkien books.

David, try this website and see if it helps. It has numerous
illustrations of the “worm ouroboros”. The correct spelling is
“ouroboros”. Probably why you didn’t find it on Google, if you
searched.

Hi David,

Do any Orchid folks have a figure of ‘the worm orobouros?’ (That is a
snake in a circle or figure 8 biting its own tail.)

Do a Google Image search on ouroboros (note the spelling) and you’ll
find tons of images. See here:

Cheers, Beth

Thank you to everyone who suggested that I ‘google’ the phrase. I had
already done that. I was trying to avoid carving one, by finding one
ready made.

Hello David,

I’ve got an image on file of a pair of gold “dragon rings with garnet
eyes” of the ouroboros style done by one by Travis Connors. I’m
afraid I do not have contact info for him but I’d be happy to forward
the image to you if you like. The rings are very nicely done.

Cheers,
Trevor F.

I have a snake ring I carved in which the snake is eating its own
tail. It’s an obviously poisonous snake, with fangs. I have a mold
of it. I can send you a picture if you like.
