[Workshop] Textures and Hollow Forms in PMC

Two different Precious Metal Clay workshops will be offered this
Summer, taught by Studio Jeweler, Linda Kaye-Moses. Kaye-Moses has
taught the use of metal clay nationally and internationally and was
the Curator/Juror for the seminal 2001 Precious Metal Clay
exhibition, “Millenial Metal” (Lynn Tendler Bignell Gallery). Her
work has most recently been included in the exhibition and book “PMC
Decade” (Brynmorgen Press).

Using PMC+, you will make a large hollow form that will be
embellished with elements that reflect your voice, your heart and
your art, based on those events, people and things in your life that
have inspired you. The form will be textured using a printing plate
(silicone or polymer or photopolymer) carved with images that relate
to those events. Further embellishment will be added as the piece
progresses. You will select a format (size, shape, use) and build
your piece based on that selection. All metal clay techniques will
be presented through a series of simple projects and exercises
designed to help bring your concept into a material form.
