[Workshop] [Seattle] Resin Surface Techniques

New Resin Surface Techniques with Jillian Moore

Jillian Moore is a full time maker of sculptural objects and
contemporary jewelry living in Iowa City, IA. Her work has been
exhibited nationally and internationally.

In this two-day workshop Jillian will demonstrate how to apply resin
to 3-dimensional objects to create interesting, complex and durable
surfaces. Participants will learn about applications relating to
collage materials, found objects, paint, and stains to add luster and
depth. The material can then be further manipulated in the form of
carving, sanding and texturing to work toward a unique finish.

What a great opportunity to make holiday gifts!!!

Participants are encouraged to bring in any small item they are
interested in incorporating - pigment, glitter, dry organics, thread,
printed text, images, wood, plastics, studio scraps and samples etc.
(not larger than 3" in any dimension). Participants are encouraged to
focus on the resin and surface work. There will be no fabricating in
this class. If students bring in components for completed jewelry
these must be ready to incorporate with anchors, posts etc. already
prepared.
