Hi all,
For those Orchidians who live in New England (especially in the
eastern Massachusetts or greater Boston areas and would be interested
in attending such an event), I will be doing a lapidary demonstration
(faceting, cabbing, perhaps some interdisciplinary work, if time
permits) in the showroom of Chatham Jewelers in Chatham, MA, this
coming Saturday, October 14th, beginning at 10:00am. Admission to the
event is free, an array of my faceted, cabbed and carved work will be
on hand, and a drawing will be held at the end of the day for the
pieces I complete, while there. I do these, periodically, as a means
of educating the public and drawing attention to my clients’ stores,
but they also serve as good “face time” intro’s to fellow goldsmiths
and intrigued students. If you’re a visiting Orchid reader, please be
