June 25 - Rings: The Classic Band and Beyond with Sid Sharples
Saturday, June 25 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm $35 for members, $45
for non-members Beginners - Advanced, All skill levels welcome

Start with a simple band of round wire that can be created in a
matter of minutes… and then go beyond as you learn some basic
techniques to make each piece uniquely yours. Basic skills such as
measuring & sizing your ring, sawing, filing, hammer textures,
rolling mill textures & other finishing techniques will be
demonstrated. Who would imagine that the symbol of eternity would be
such a snap to create! This class is designed for beginners and
advanced beginners – or anybody who wants to enjoy a day of making
rings!

The instructor will supply copper & brass wire and sheet and solder
for a $10 fee, or students may bring their own copper, brass or
silver metal as suggested below: medium & hard solder round wire,
approx. 3" per ring, 14ga, 16ga, and/or 18 gauge sheet metal, 16ga
and/or 18 gauge, approximately 3" per ring.
