[Workshop] Dartmouth Summer Workshops

Open to the public for the first time, the Donald Claflin Jewelry
Studio at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH will host the following
hands-on workshops. Class size is limited. For more information

JEWELRY: MAKING MAGIC WITH HAMMER SETTING Saturday & Sunday, JULY 17
& 18, 9 am–5 pm Class fee: $190, plus $55 materials Paul Gross,
instructor

Learn to set stones of all types with a chasing hammer and punches;
bezels, partial bezels, channels and flush settings will be covered.
Emphasis will be placed on sculpting the metal of the setting with
the punches to blend in with the overall design. Basic jewelry skills
required.

JEWELRY: INNOVATIONS IN MOLDMAKING TECHNIQUES Friday, Saturday &
Sunday, AUGUST 13, 14 & 15. 9 am–5 pm Class Fee: $285, plus $60
materials Jeff Georgantes, instructor

Learn about the many varied rubber mold techniques and how to
incorporate them into your work. In addition to making a number of
molds, participants will learn helpful casting tricks and cast at
least one finished piece. Open to any skill level.
