Jayne Redman is teaching a 3 day workshop, Blanking Dies and Keum-Boo
here in Portland, Maine July 6-8:
Jayne shares the secrets of her production processes including
pattern making, blanking dies and keum-boo. One piece blanking dies
allow precise duplicate shapes of silver, gold and other nonferrous
sheet metal to be easily cut out. Learn how to design patterns for
this process and methods of sawing dies from flat stock tool steel
using basic shop tools. Keum-boo is a beautiful cost effective
technique used to bond gold and silver to the surface of jewelry and
hollow-ware. We will roll out 24k gold and fine silver and apply it
to three dimensional, flat, and textured metal surfaces. All skill
levels welcome.

I made my GRS Benchmates into pivoting bench pins, for this class. If
anyone wants me to forward photos of these, please email me.
