Has anyone tried the Wizard pen plating tool? I was anxious to order one and try it out with some golf-filled pieces, however, I heard that it only lasts one hour on a 6-volt battery and then you have to throw it away. At @ $45, that seems unbelievable to me. Can anyone confirm this? I also asked the vendor if they sold a rechargeable pen and they said that they stopped making them.
I have never plated before, and I’ve never seen it done except on videos. I liked that the chemicals are cyanide-free so that’s why I was anxious to try it out. It’s hard to ship harsh chemicals, so I thought with these cyanide-free chemicals we could start selling this plating pen to our customers, but it seems like a lot of money for a disposable pen… any thoughts are appreciated.
