Wildacres Workshops

There are still a few openings for the Wildacres Workshops, put
on by the Florida Society of Goldsmiths. The workshop dates
this year are June 26 thru July 2, 1999. Wildacres Retreat is
on the Blue Ridge Parkway just north of Asheville, NC. Workshop
fees include instruction (5 days)and 6 nights of room and board
for $435.00 (FSG members), and $475.00 (non-members). The
following is a list of the workshops offered this year:

Jewels of the Dark Ages Jean Stark

The Florida Society of Goldsmiths will be holding it’s annual
workshop in the NC mountains from June 17 - 23, 2000. Several of
the workshop are already full, but there openings in a few:

    Lampworking - Elizabeth Blood               still has openings
    Hinged Boxes - John Cogswell                full w/ waiting list
    Mechanisms - Chris Darway                   still has openings
    Engraving - Alan Revere                         full w/ waiting list
    Basic Silversmithing - Don Roberts          still has openings
    Viking Jewelry - Jean Stark             full w/ waiting list

These workshops cost $450 (FSG members), and $490 (non-members) for
tuition, room and board for the week…a great bargain! If

For anybody that does not know about Wildacres, it is fantastic: 6-7
weeklong workshops going on at once, and taking place at a beautiful
rustic retreat in the Smoky Mountains. The price is right and the
ambiance is excellent; perfect for experienced and also beginning
jewelers. Alan
