How difficult is it to secure a white sapphire that looks like a
diamond? What is the normal price range for a white sapphire with
1.5-2 carat weight? What are normal issues to look out for when
buying a white sapphire?

White sapphires are fairly readily available. I would not pay more
than $50.00/ct for any material. A lot of white sapphire has a bluish
tinge. You should look for the whitest material available.
