What torch is this?

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of trying a propane only torch for soldering but the ones I see for sale have a fairly large handle. While looking for another tool today I saw a photo of this pretty slim single torch. I assume it’s propane and if it is, who makes this pretty small torch? the photo is selling something else. I can only find cheaply made looking ones and they handles are a bit too large for good dexterity. I’m betting this one in the photo is Swiss or German? Or is this one of those super air induced torch set ups and not just straight LPG propane?

Hi,

It looks like an Orca Torch/ EZ Torch

It is an Orcha or EZ Torch in the US. I have one that I use almost exclusively for annealing. Others have mentioned that they are their go to torch. I could never get enough heat out of it to solder the larger and heavier of my cuffs, but I am sure that it would work well for smaller pieces. The flame is rather bushy. You can buy them with three different tips and shut off valves for both 1 lb. cylinders and larger 5 - 20 lb. cylinders…Rob
