What exactly IS a Herkimer diamond?
A Herkimer Diamond is actually a quartz crystal that is double -
terminated, that is it has a point on both ends. It is found in
pockets in the clay around Herkimer County, NY, hence the name. They
are usually not very long and are quite clear. They are also being
found in parts of Mexico, as I have some from both places. They are
a big thing to the people in the metaphysics, where I sell the
