experience. I have been educated in Diamond and Gemstones at GIA. I
hand make the majority of my pieces with two wonderful employees. I
do Lost Wax and Fabrication but i’m always eager to learn more.

I joined the local gem and mineral society with my family when I was
a child, and a real love of stones. I learned to cut cabochonds, and
eventually fond myself wanting to do something wih the stones that I
had cut!
I was offered a job at a local jewelry gallery that had a wonderful
bench jeweler who took the time to teach me basic soldering, and I
had a lot of fun learning about many diffrent types of jewelry.
Several years later, I was able to take classes at the Asheville, NC
metalworking center that the same bench jeweler had opened, and
eventually teach some beginning silversmithing classes. I now have my
own studio, but return to Earth Speak Arts for fun and fellow
jewelers as often as I can.
In 2008, I began Moonkist Designs, and I make and sell mixed metal,
handmade jewelry in several locations and on my Etsy store at
MoonkistDesigns - Etsy.
When I am not at my bench, I work as a personal assistant for a
Sci-Fi and Fantasy author, enjoy crochet and quilting, and try to
keep up with my spoiled fur babies and my wonderful husband.
