Bob Rush
Valley Springs, California. USA

http://www.bobspremiumcabochons.com

I have been crafting cabochons for 50 years, doing jewelry making for
30 years and teaching both for 12 years. So far it has been only as a
hobby. I’ve recently retired so I am establishing a website to start
selling my lapidary work. Bob Rush

Just a silversmith. (Not a jeweler)

Pam Hislop
Newtown, Wellington, New Zealand

I am a keen beginner. If only I had been encourage to take this up
as a career path many years ago!!!

Emily DeBuys
Birmingham, AL. USA

I graduated from college with a BFA and am now working at my home
making jewelry. I have lot of questions about mostly technical
aspects of metal working. I love being a metalsmith.

Michael Kay
Kirriemuir, Angus. UK

I trained in Silversmithing & Jewellery Design at Edinburgh College
of Art in the late 60’s. I was awarded a small travelling scholarship
in 1970 on completion of my diploma, and decided to go to Finland,
which at the time was quite a design hotspot. I was recommended to
visit an unusual craft shop in Porvoo, about 50 km. from Helsinki and
there I met Sara Hoppea. She invited me to visit her husband in their
flat nearby, so I was immensely flattered and proud to have met the
great - Oppi Untracht! I’ve been in the business in a small way ever
since, with most of my time until June 2008 in secondary art
education. Retirement offers new challenges in the development of my
jewellery business. I’m a member of the Angus Crafts Association,
doing a few craft fairs every year.

Kathryn Swanton
Harrogate, UK

My name is Kathryn Swanton and I am a present American student at
the University of Leeds in the UK. I am recieving my postgraduate
degree in International Marketing and Management. My undergraduate
degree was from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY majoring in
Business Administration, International Business and French. During
the past four years I have had the pleasure of working with two
major American jewelry corporations and two private jewelry
companies in Rochester, NY. These experiences have broadened my
perspective in regards to the jewelry industry and its’ business
markets. I am in credibly passionate about this industry and I can’t
imagine a career in anything else!
