I am here because my Father was a huge rock Hound in the 50s and 60s
mainly in the western U.S… He also made jewelry from his garage for
family. His rocks have come to live with me now and I believe I have
at least one that may be very very rare and I’m having problems
learning about it and who to trust about what I have. Anyone out
there ever see a 10.34 carot cats eye cabochon raspberry colored
bixbite?

Hello! I am a jewelry crafter primarily interested in wirework and
metalsmithing. I also enjoy examining and writing about the creative
life.

I have been making jewelry for 40 years, self-taught, working mostly
in silver and a bit in gold. I live on Cortes Island on the west
coast of Canada, surrounded by nature. Much of my work is related to
the natural world: direct castings of organic forms (like lost wax
but using natural objects). I do local craft fairs, custom orders
and am involved with a craft co-op shop on my island.
