I immigrated to San Francisco from New York City in 1969. Attended
San Francisco State Collage 1969-1974. In 1972 I was granted a BA in
ART. My areas of emphasis were Metal Arts and Ceramics. My master
teacher in Metal Arts was Imogen (Tex) Gieling. In 1974 I received a
Standard Secondary Teaching Credential w/an Art emphasis. Was
employed from 1974-1975 as an apprentice to Van Craeynest Inc. This
opportunity introduced me to factory benchwork in contrast to
academia. I incorporate the asthetics of both approaches in my
teaching and personal work. I have had the good fortune to design and
work as a jewelry instructor at the Sharon Art Studio, located in
Golden Gate Park from 11/75-3/09. I retired this past March. I also
taught at the Richmond Art Center from 9/93-9/09. I am affitated w/
Velvet da Vinci Gallery in San Francisco.
