Nikolas Fragiadakis
Heraklion, Crete. Greece

Hi there!

My name is Nikolas.

I was born and raised on the island of Crete.

I was also born into the jewelry business. My great grandfather was
a watchmaker and my parents retail jewelers and manufacturers.

I studied to be a bench jeweler at “Mokume” in Athens and later went
to Italy for my Gemology studies in GIA Florence.

Nancy Gardner
Mendocino, CA. USA

I am a European trained silver and goldsmith who has been living and
working in Mendocino California for the past 30 years. In 2001 I
opened Mendocino Jewelry Studio, a gallery of 12 local jewelry
artists and other mediums. We do repair work and custom jewelry.
Three years ago I was hired to coordinate the jewelry program at the
Mendocino Art Center. In the Fall of 2012 I remodeled and expanded
the jewelry facilities at the art center. We have begun studio and
bench rental programs in addition to our Spring, Summer, and Fall
workshop sessions. We also have Tuesday evening open studio option
that is on a drop in basis. This year I attended SNAG with the
intention of meeting instructors and getting the word out that the
MAC jewelry program is growing strong, has improved studio facilities
and are expanding our equipment base regularly. As of late we have
set up an electroforming unit and our first class with Rene Roberts
will be happening this Fall. At SNAG we tested and ended up
purchasing a PUK welder!! So exciting. Soon w e will be setting that
up and will have one on one instruction sessions and an hourly
rental basis for those whom already are acquainted with this great
lil machine.

Please feel free to contact me - make my contact info.- available to
any interested persons in the MAC jewelry programs.
