I have worked as a pediatric physical therapist for 29 years and am
nearing retirement. My age is not retiring me, my body is. If I had
known when I went to college that jewelry making was a possibility,
I would have jumped at that then. I didn’t so now I am slowly
gaining the skills that I will need when I retire. I love my work and
will grieve the loss. I am so fortunate that I have something so
wonderful as jewelry making to fall into at retirement. I like
metalsmithing even though I came into jewelry making through metal
clay. I like metal clay also. each form has it’s own strengths. then
beads, I have my favorites there also. What a better way to add
color to silver than fused glass and enameling. I know I will not
run out of things to learn or things to try. I have been so
fortunate to have had a great profession as my work as a PT then
step into my next love of jewelry making.

Hi! I’m an artist that has recently discovered the world of
metalsmithing. I am really enjoying learning this craft and hope to
one day be very skilled! I am excited to be involved with a network
of like minded folks.I am looking to be inspired and to inspire
others. I have lots of questions, too.
