I am a jewellery designer/maker working mainly in sterling silver
and semi precious stones. My jewellery is all handmade and the
designs are one-offs, unique and often quirky and abstract. I have
just started working with copper as silver has become so expensive
and I really enjoy working with with this metal, the malleability and
colour and especially the contrast I get from mixing silver and
copper in a piece. I often help my plumber friend as his “Plumber’s
Mate” and collect all sorts of copper bits from old boilers etc.
which I then transform into beautiful jewellery!! There is always so
much more to learn and find out so I’m very happy to be a member of
this brilliant site and looking forward to learning from and meeting
fellow creatives and exchanging useful !
