Claudelle Girard
Bergen, Norway

Hi,

I am a graphic designer and illustrator and have been making jewelry
in some form as a hobby for almost 10 years now. I have taken a few
jewelry-making classes along the way and intend on devoting more
time to it in the future, which is why I decided to sign up here for
motivation, inspiration, and tips. I was signed up to Orchid several
years ago and am happy to be back.

Thanks,
Claudelle.

Several years ago I started with an adult education class. Since
then I have taken courses in basic metalworking and enameling at the
Bucks County Community College. I am looking forward to having my
own workspace, complete with a torch and the accompanying equipment.
Until then, I work at the college or at a small table in a storage
room doing chain maille and some wire work. I have been reading what
everyone posts here with great interest and have learned a great
deal just from reading.

ancient cloth-making technique with contemporary materials and
metalsmithing to create dimensional weave jewelry. My jewelry is
hand-woven using a traditional floor.

Presently, I am completing my third year as Resident Artist at the
Appalachian Center for Craft in Tennessee. I have earned earned
degrees from the Revere Academy of Jewelry Art in San Francisco in
and the California College of Arts and Crafts.
