Robert folks, old rockhound trying to learn new tricks. I have
collected rocks and gemstones when I had a few bucks to spare, have
made fused dichroic jewelry and sold a couple thousand pieces but
have lost the creative spark for that. Now I want to learn delft
sand casting and would like to do arg entium silver pendants with
stones either cast in or cast settings as I have a number of gems of
oddball shapes I would like to see used. My current problem is I
can’t find a list of castable natural gems nor any info on casting
stones or stone settings. Someone over at Gemology said you folks
know it all, or something like that, so here I am, hat in hand…

I am a student/hobbyist who has a great passion for beautiful
jewellery and art. I have been learning silversmithing via private
lessons for about 2 years and am hoping to widen my skillset,
especially in jewellery design. I would like to make a living out of
making jewellery as its what I love to do.

Hello,

I am a new jeweler. I graduated with a BFA in metalsmithing and
jewelry design only a couple years ago. I’ve worked for a few
different jewelry companies doing various tasks from working with
clients to the bench. I am always interested in learning new
techniques, tips and tricks like most jewelers. I am happy to
contribute to the forums in any way I feel I can.
