Kenneth Whitfield Haydon
Raleigh, NC. USA, 27608

Started my business after realizing my college degree in industrial
engineering and the five years in industry was not something I
wanted to continue.

This business had always fascinated me but had no practical
knowledge but certainly had the desire which resulted in acquiring
every book I could find, trying to put all the pieces of the puzzle
together to launch a career in the jewelry business. All of this
almost 40 years ago.

My direction has always been directed towards finer quality jewelry
and providing my area with things other jewelers would not dream of
stocking. The journey has not been easy by any means and it seems
more difficult today than when I started. So here I am looking at
where I fit in with an industry which has seen more change within a
relatively short period of time and discover what others are
experiencing.

Frank McCubbins
Quilcene, WA. USA

I have been manufacturing my original wildlife designs in 14kt gold
for over 40 years now. I work out of my home studio and sell
directly to my customers by mail order sales made at Sportsmen’s
shows and through my website. I am now interested in including
CAD/CAM to my design process and hope to get input on the easiest,
cost effective program to start with from this forum.
