Hello everyone! My name is Carolina, I am from Colombia but I live in
Costa Rica right now. After I graduated from Psychology I decided to
go and study English in Australia for a year and when I returned to
my country a friend intruduced me a Canadian guy thatlived in Costa
Rica so soon I was moving here and 3 years later I got married. For
the time my residency was in process I had to stay without a job for
an entire year so that situation gave me the freedom to do and study
something I really wanted but I couldn’t do. So here in Costa Rica I
started classes with a jeweler from Barcelona, it’s been a year
already and I love what I do. I am not a big expert or a super
gifted jeweler but I love to do it and see the final results of
something you designed and built yourself. Right now I am trying
little by little to start my workshop at home and I am clueless
about some things, so I decided to connect to the world to see what
is out there in the world of jewelery and try to start my own
business. I do not try to be rich I just try to be able to do what I
love all day.

Sandra Hecht
New York, NY. USA

I am new to metalsmithing and love the challenge of learning the
techniques and becoming more skilled. It is a big change for me as I
was a research botanist in “my other life”. I don’t think that I
have a special talent but I do have patience and perseverance. I am
truly thrilled to find a forum of ‘metal people’ who are willing to
share. Sandy. PS I also do seed bead embroidery.
