Kristen Haug
Elemental Jewelry
Silver Lake, KS. USA

Hi. I have been a bench jeweler for a retail store for the last 10
years. In the last couple of years, I have begun my own tiny
business and jewelry line.

I am interested in tools to help grow my business… both physical
tools such as a laser welder and more intangible tools like
networking.

Master Jeweler
Portland, Oregon. USA

Stared in the jewelry business two weeks after my 16th birthday, and
I am now in my 43rd year. I’ve been fortunate from the very
beginning to have worked alongside some incredibly gifted and
talented individuals, always being the best student I could be,
gleaning highest knowledge wherever it appears. It keeps me young at
heart.

Besides being a consummate capable of wearing many hats, I recently
entered a design competition for the first time in my life, and won
a “2011 Designer of the Year” award in an unlimited expense category
using only a lemon citrine and no other stones! Here’s a link to the
JCK article on how it’s s tory came to be:

cheers everyone!

I began making jewelry as a teenager with help from my mother, who
is an accomplished jewelry artist herself. Now I live in southeast
Alaska where I draw much of my inspiration. Everything from
mountains, rock formations, marine life to the southeast Alaskan
lifestyle is reflected in my jewelry.

I am 51, female, and am interested in wire wrapping. I have
background in biology, mathematics, and aerospace. I like making
things.
