I’ve been lurking on Orchid for many years now, since college, but
finally decided to join! I’m a metalsmith working out of San
Francisco, and I teach jewelry making and enameling at The Crucible
in Oakland, CA.

Hello, my name is Jim Rentfrow.

Flawless Facets is your one stop shop for all your gemstone cutting
and repair needs. I have been providing gemstone cutting services
since 2005 and facet different types of gemstones such as: Montana
and African sapphire, Oregon sunstone, garnets, tourmaline, spinel
and ruby.

My educational background is in business and gemology with degrees
from the University of Phoenix and certificates in colored gemstones
and diamonds from the Gemological Institute of America. I will
receive my masters degree in business and finish my graduate
gemology degrees in 2010.

I strive to provide a gemstone faceting service that provides
exceptional customer service and value for my clients. I will turn
your rough gemstones into beautiful artistic representations of who
you are. Your finished gemstone will not only be a beautiful
addition to your jewelry collection, it will be the shining star!

My gemstone repair service specializes in bringing back the beauty
to a gemstone that has been chipped, scratched or simply needs
repolishing. All of my gemstone faceting and repair services give
you an immediate return on investment by increasing the value of
your gemstones substantially.

I am a mother of four great kids, one loving Boston terrier named
Brando and two rather unusual kittens. I am also a PMC artist. I
love to design and create pieces that have meaning. I love nature,
and the unusual. I adore learning new things and being creative.
This is a difficult challenge with an 11 year old, 8 year old, 6
year old, and a 4 year old. All of the kids are in school at least
part-time so I am expanding my business and finally getting a
website up.

Hi! I have been making and selling silver jewelry for the past four
years! I love working with silver. I mostly focus on personalized
jewerly with messages to inspire and encourage.I make cool crosses
and hearts…very simple but it is still unique because I make it. I
have sold my jewelry at several craft fairs and have done very
well…I also have a friend who keeps samples of my jewelry in her
store and I get orders from that. The reaction to my work has been so
positive. People who wear it are always getting compliments and are
asked where can I buy it! I am hoping to learn how to turn my hobby
into more of a business:)
