My studio workshop is in Lexington Kentucky where I live with my
wife and three daughters, all of whom make frequent requests for my
jewelry! I am a gifted faceter, member of the United States Faceters
Guild, diamond setter and colored stone setter. My precision cut
colored stones distinguish my jewelry. I started my company, Gems By
John LLC, first cutting gemstones and later expanded by crafting
custom jewelry to complement my colored stones. I refined my stone
cutting and jewelry fabrication skill through a variety of training
classes, workshops, and lots of hours behind the jeweler’s be nch and
faceting machine. Some of my training has come from nationally
recognized leaders in their fields and include instruction in
