I am an emerging jewelry entrepreneur specializing in hand crafted,
one of a kind pieces. I currently work mainly in silver and enjoy
adding my own dichroic glass cabs as well as other’s semi-precious
and precious cabs and faceted stones to my pieces. I am learning wax
carving and filigree work.

I am also in the process of obtaining my GG from GIA. I work as an
Occupational Therapist by day and have learned many wonderful things
the lemons life gives you, how to be strong and work through the
pain and despair when facing a life changing event, how to think
outside the box, solve problems and come out on top! I owe much of
my creativity and outlook on life to these wonderful people who
never gave up no matter what they were facing. It is a privilege to
be able to infuse my creative work with such spirit and beauty.

I have just graduated from Northern Michigan University where I
studied metalsmithing under Dale Wedig. The program encompassed
everything from welding to large scale casting, and while it was all
very interesting, only one semester was devoted to jewelry making
which is my area of interest. In my last year at NMU, I did an
independent study of fold forming and another one in repousse and
chasing. At this time, I am most interested in these two areas of
study. In general, I feel I have much to learn about all aspects of
jewelry making, not only techniques, but the networking, marketing,
and business of jewelry making and selling. I am motivated to
continue my education and in connecting with artists who have more
knowledge and experience than myself.
