Nancy Jan Moyer
McAllen, TX. USA

I retired from my position as Department Chair and Director of the
Metals Program at The University of Texas-Pan American in 2003.
Since then I have enjoyed structuring my own time. Living on the
Texas-Mexico border provides a curious energy, particularly with the
Drug Wars, and that theme has slipped into a couple of my works. My
academic background was Fine Art; as a result, my work tends to be
concept driven. Currently I’m interested in combining photography
and with my jewelry as commentaries on society/reality theories. I
have had a photography exhibit shown by two museums: the Brownsville
Museum of Fine Art and the International Museum of Art; my jewelry
has been reproduced in six books, so far. The computer is my
assistant, but only for the designing - I do Photoshop, not virtual
design. I have three excellent cats.

I am from the state of New York where I attended college with Art
being my major. I moved to Colorado in the early 70’s. I have been a
bench jeweler for the last 35+ years in the Denver area. Presently I
own Clear Creek Academy of Jewelry and Metal Arts for the last 8
years and before my ownership, I taught at the school for a number
of years. Teaching the art of metalsmithing to so many individuals
is a fun and rewarding experience.

Nancy L. Pace
Nancy’s Wild Wire Jewelry Studio
Benton, IL. USA

I am fairly new to jewelry making, am self taught. I am getting so
much support from online groups now I should say I am internet
taught by a wide range of professionals. I am passionate about
natural stones, copper in any form, love my torch and hammer. I am a
juried artist in the state of Illinois museum programs. I am always
ready to try a new skill and am willing to help anyone else learn if
I have anything to offer from my meager skills.
