Please welcome our newest members!

Amy Taylor

I’ve been doing stringing/wire wrapping with glass beads for about 3
yrs. I’ve lately gotten into cold connection & metalsmithing, and
I’m looking forward to learning how to enamel.

I am a jewelry artist who was doing beading for a while. Now, I am
learning of how to work with stones (cutting and carving) and metal
(soldering). As being a newcomer to such a broad field of jewelry
making, I would like to be able to communicate with the experienced
people and the rookies as I am.

Juju Mak
New Hyde Park, NY. USA

Interested in all forms of jewelry, including metalsmithing, pmc,
beading, glass lampworking, dichroic glass, etc.

John Downie
Brookside, NS. Canada

Beginning jewellery maker. Have been working at it as a hobby for
about 7 years, and have been selling on a small scale for the last
4. Not quitting my day-job just yet! I work almost exclusively in
silver, mostly using construction techniques but I am interested in
small-scale forming as well. To get to this point, I took
community-offered courses, mostly at our local Centre for Craft and
Design. Joined the Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia and through this
have had more training through Guild workshops and direct contact
with experts. The ethos of our Guild and of Orchid - co-operative,
welcoming, and nurturing groups is refreshing and most helpful.
Looking forward to the interaction.
