I work in my own studio at The Old School House in Qualicum Beach,
B.C. Canada. The Old School House (TOSH) was saved from the wrecker’s
ball in 1987 and converted by this seaside community on Vancouver
Island into galleries and studios for artists and artisans. I work
in silver. I am mostly self-taught, except for a few couses I have
taken over the years, and have been making jewelry since 1967,
casting and fabricating. Some years ago I was a member of Orchid but
let it slip while I followed a career in teaching high school drama
and graphic arts. I live on a ten acre farm in the country and ,
after retiring in 1997, I went back to making jewelry full time. I
love the combination of designing, crafting, trying new ideas and
meeting the public. The only part I don’t look forward to is
finishing because it is so repetitive, but I must admit I like it
when the ugly duckling turns into a swan
