I have been beading for 30 years, metalsmithing for 22 years and
teaching for 20 years. I have a diploma in jewelry repair which I
earned in 1989 from Bowman Technical School and worked as a bench
jeweler for many years before going out on my own. I have belonged
to the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths for 20 years and feel
fortunate to be able to pursue my art and craft for a living. Not
only do I find the materials and processes fun and fascinating, I
love that there is always something new to learn and experiment with
and so the work never gets old-only greater. My motto to my students
is “It’s endless” because it is! and I’m happy to say I’ll never run
out of things to do and create. I also love learning from my students
and peers and I’m grateful for the support of my family and
customers.

I found this wonderful site in ArtJewelry Mag. I am new to
metalsmithing but enjoy glass fusing as well. The love of painting
brought me to this area of the ARTS. Enameling! No I do not know how
but want to learn how to paint with Enamels. Any help to direct me
to the right sources to learn will be greatly appreciated. I love
DVD that teach you step by step. I would love to take a class but no
classes are offered in this area. I have to drive a long ways to any
type of classes.

I have been learning and making jewelery for about 3 1/2 years. I’ve
been studying with a master goldsmith who teaches handmade jewelry
techniques. I am interested in learning more techniques, especially
granulation, among others. I’m looking forward to taking in all the
and personal experiences others have had -along with
their tips and also seeing all the beautiful jewelry everyone has
created.
