Nancy Howland who was an active participant in this forum and who
passed away in December 2009, was my sister.

I’m joining the forum to announce that her family has decided to
make her book, “Doming Silver Beads” available as a free PDF
download from her website, www.psi-design.com. (The second printing
has nearly sold out.)

Nancy benefited so much from being a member that we are certain she
would want to make her manual on making silver beads available free
to the members of this forum.

I have been learning to make and design jewelry for about 4 years
now. My desire to make jewelry started in college where I took
classes for 3 semesters. I learned a lot about working with metal. I
then followed up with classes at the Revere Academy in San Francisco
where I took wax carving, Fabrication with hinges, polishing, and a
comprehensive stone setting class which involved all types of
settings. I am just now working daily in my studio to find out what
I would like to design and make. I am currently working on my setting
skills and am having trouble. This is why I signed up for this
forum. I like to experiment and learn on my own but jewelry making is
time consuming already and I am in need of some help. I hope I can
find that help here.

Sincerely, Debi
