Georgianne Fergesen
Georgiana
Louisville, CO. USA

Late blooming mother of 3, painter discovering the wondrous and
inexhaustible world of metals, found objects, beads. I have
designated this as my learning year (assuming that they will all be
learning years), I’m setting out to get some basics under my belt,
soldering, flex shaft, etching, everything! Kids are mostly on their
own so it’s a new world for me. I’m excited to find this community
so I can see what people are doing out there, beyond the magazines!
Maybe soon I’ll have something to show you!

Helen Moody
Sydney, Australia

I have recently become involved in the jewellery world and am
experimenting with a range of different techniques. I am interested
in mixed media, combining techniques, and trying new ways of using
existing techniques and media.

Jim F Dailing
Dailing Designs
Bend, OR. USA

I got into jewelry and metals back in college by seeing a friend
through a doorway. Tim showed me how to cut an opal and it changed
my life. 30 years later I am more passionate now about working in
metal than when I began. I have discovered that I am a bit of a
storyteller as I translate my clients’ stories in creating their
wedding rings.

I live, work, and teach workshops and private classes here in Bend,
Oregon and around the country. The classes that I teach are stone
setting without prongs, photography for jewelers, toolmaking for
jewelers and what I call the alchemist’s workshop, which teaches
students how to alloy different karats and colors of gold and then
mill and fabricate objects. Come visit Bend and take a class.
