Betsy’s comfort pendant reminded me of a piece I made several years ago for a widow. The wedding ring was tungsten carbide (never heard of anybody doing that) so conventional soldering was out of the question. I had the dragon laser welded into the ring. The widow strung the pendant on the bead strand.
Janet – amazing (!) and I bet we both went through the exact same thought process. Really a lovely, sensitive piece.
Thanks! This couple had been together for years. They finally decided to get married, I made her rings, and three months later he was gone. It is a privilege to make pieces like these, helping to ease grief.
It’s great to see you make something so memorable.
I love both the concept, and the sculptural element . Beautiful.
