For those interested in this type of technique, I see that
Arline M. Fisch’s book, Textile Techniques in Metal for
Jewelers, Textile Artists and Sculptors, is available for
$26.95, in a completely revised edition. I saw it advertised in

I personally think this is an excellent book - I constantly
refer to it for reminders of techniques I have used before, and
to experiment with new ones. It describes techniques for
crocheting, knitting, twining, braiding, card weaving…and more.
The book also has great examples in color photos. I mostly
crochet with wire and card weave - if anyone is interested in
card weaving, there is a book called Card Weaving by Candace
Crockett that is very good - also available from Lark Books.
