Wearing mask while cutting rings

Hi all. I was wondering what the recommendation was about wearing a
mask while cutting jump rings with either the Koil Kutter or Jump
Ringer? Although it seems that most of the metal dust goes down, I
wasn’t sure if there are any health issues concerning the dust.

Hi Carol, I wear safety glasses and a mask every time I cut, sand or
solder something. You only have one pair of eyes and one set of
lungs.

i don’t know how the machines work, but you did say dust, didn’t
you??? if there is metal dust exaust it off or wear a light dust
filtered respirator called a disposable half-mask don’t breathe it
not in the least

I use a dust mask at least, every time I’m using the flexshaft.
There are fine particles that get into the air that you don’t see -
better safe than sorry! :slight_smile:
