Vulcanized pewter mold

Dear wonderful jewelers with bountiful stock wisdom, Can a piece
made out of pewter or tin withstand the heat and pressure of a
vulcanized molding process?

vulcanized molding process?

Generally, yes. The heat is no problem. The main thing is to
remember that tin is soft, so packing the mold rubber for vulcanizing
should be done in a fashion where the initial tightening of the
vulcanizer doesn’t cause the still solid rubber to bend/deform the
model.
