I have acquired a vintage strand of graduated natural pearls, and am
trying to decide how best to move them along. They sit in the safety
deposit box, but I want to pass them along. I don’t know whether to
incorporate them into one of my necklace designs, or to simply sell
them as-is. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Do you happen to know what kind of pearls these are (akoya, south
sea?) and also the size? And what you were thinking of selling them
for?

In any case, Karen, they probably need restringing. Why not use them
yourself to make something lovely? Keep them together, and they can
always be restrung next time into some other creation. Gems never
die.
