I have 2 questions:
1.I’ve heard of “vermeil” wire, does it exist and if so does anyone
have a source?
- Re: plating. I make hand made silver chains and want to have
them plated to vermeil. If I send finished work out to be plated what
are the limitations? Eg: a hand made chain with semi precious beads
or glass. Will all areas of the chain get plated or will any overlap
remain silver? Will the gems remain unplated-my understanding is yes,
but what if there is some metal content in the beads , say I use a
mineral that may have metal in it.
