Vacuum Generator

While checking through the Granger Industrial Supply catalog for
vacuum pumps I came accross a device called a vacuum generator.
(granger cat. #387, pg. 2441) This device is not a pump but a
device that generates vacuum using compressed air. Does anyone
have any experience with this vacuum generator and do you know if
it would be suitable as a substitute for a real vacuum pump in a
vacuum casting setup?

Ken Check out the specs. If memory serves me it will not pull a
very efficient vacuum. This is important in investing especially.
Also it will require a sizeable compresser, not a little one but
one that can deliver quite a few cfm. RED
