I have a need to refine my ability to make a small piece of
purple gold for a client, any insight in mixing these metals
would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I don’t have the
money or equipment that others have and its ashame some people
have to have such an attitude toward teaching fellow craftsman,
sounds like the old days when no one would tell or teach anyone
about anything in this industry. I am able to get a great
purple color, but with to many pits and porosity, am going to
try using argon to shield all during melting and mixing, but any
other suggestions as to mixing, casting, pouring, etc. would be
