Hi. I just wanted to thank everyone for the suggestions about
successfully beading or balling wire. I tried several of the
recommendations including digging into the charcoal block and
adjusting the way I’ve been holding the torch to the metal. And
coated the gold with boric acid (a teacher had told me that was
unnecessary). All worked well. Got great balls 6 times in a
row. But then again, a coin toss can also yield 6 heads in a
row ;-).
