Unusual type girdle of diamond

I have encountered two brilliant cut Diamond with very unusual type
of girdle. The girdles appears like polished one in necked eye, but
under 10x appears like fused with some other materials and give a
impression of very very thin girdle. Under higher magnification a
faint joint is also observed, but no clue is appeared thru the table.

Need to know expert opinion.

Could these stones be Moissanite? I purchased a Moissanite from
Stuller to study and noticed that, viewed from the side with
magnification, there is the illusion of a line in the middle of the
girdle. Anthony Toepfer Keene, NH

Sounds like you have some kind of a doublet here and you should send
them to a qualified gem lab.
