Unfamiliar cuts (facets)

Hi

I wonder if some faceter or gem whiz could explain for me what
the following cuts are:

  1. Princess

  2. Brilliant

  3. Checkerboard

Would they be uasable in normal settings? For example does a
6mm rd fit like a plain 6mm rd?

Thanks again,
Bob B

Hi, To answer your stone cut questions, A Princess is a
square cut stone cut with many facets, A Brilliant is a round
cut stone cut to perfect proportions, Checkerboard is just what it
sounds like. The crown of the stone is cut in small squares and
looks just like a checkerbaord. It can be most shapes, round,
square or oval. If it is a 6mm stone it will set into standard
setting, in most cases. Hope that helps. Janine
